The Best Avocado Toast
Ingredients:
1 ¼ cups Spelt Flour
½ cup of Spring Water
1-2 tbsp Grapeseed or Avocado Oil
1 Plum Tomato or 12 Cherry Tomatoes
2 Green Onion branches or a small piece of Red Onion
Sea Salt
Onion Powder
Basil
Oregano
Cayenne
Everyone’s Favorite Guac (Recipe listed under “Sauces”)

Tools:
Frying Pan
Small Baking Pan (only if you prefer roasted tomatoes)
Cutting Board
2 Medium Bowls
Rolling Pin
Small Knife
Spatula
Rubber Spatula
Fork

Tomatoes Directions

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit if you wish to roast your tomatoes. You can choose to eat them nice and fresh, too!

Wash and dice your plum tomato however you like. If using cherry tomatoes, slice them in half.

Place your tomatoes cut-side-up on your baking pan. (Only for roasted tomatoes)

Season your cut tomatoes with your desired amount of sea salt, onion powder, cayenne, oregano, and basil.

Set your raw tomatoes to the side or roast the tomatoes for 10-15 minutes. When finished, take them out of the oven and put to the side.

Toast Directions

In a medium bowl, mix 1 cup spelt flour, 1 tsp sea salt, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp dry basil, and ⅛ tsp cayenne with a rubber spatula.

Pouring in a splash at a time, slowly mix in ½ cup of spring water.

When your dough forms, dust your cutting board with spelt flour and knead for 1-2 minutes.

Split the dough into 2 or 3 equal pieces and roll them each into a ball.

Flour your rolling pin and cutting board. Take each ball of dough and roll over it a few times. Flip it over and roll your toast as thin as you like. If it gets too sticky, simply flour your rolling pin and cutting board again. You can create any shape you like. You can even use a cookie cutter to make a perfect shape or shape them using a knife or pizza cutter.

On medium heat, warm your pan with a splash of oil. When it is warm and all your toasts have been rolled out, begin to fry them.

Watch carefully and use a spatula to check and flip when the toast is lightly golden on the bottom. Fry until finished on both sides.

Make Everyone’s Favorite Guac.

Build Your Toast

Cut your green onions or dice your red onion.

Simply spread your desired amount of guac on the toast, top with seasoned tomatoes and onions, and enjoy this satisfying breakfast.
