Ingredients:
Dry Sea Moss
1 gallon Spring Water
Tools:
Large Bowl or Tupperware (Method #1)
Medium or Large Pot (Method #2)
Blender
Rubber Spatula
Kitchen Scissors
Storage Jar
Directions:
In a large pot add the dry sea moss leaving out the salt and rocks. Make sure to allow room for the sea moss to double in size. You can make ½ or ⅓ of the sea moss at a time.
Cover with spring water and bring to a boil.
Once it begins a rapid boil, remove from heat, stir, and cover.
Let it sit in the water for about 10 minutes or until soft.
Drain the water and rinse the sea moss 2-3 times or until clean.
Add the sea moss to the blender.
Start with 1 cup of spring water then blending.
Add a splash of water at a time blending in between to make sure your sea moss gel is extra smooth instead of chunky. Use a rubber spatula to scrape the sides in between blending.
Do this until you reach a thin gel texture that is smooth with no clumps.
Store in a glass container in your refrigerator where your gel with thicken.
